History
Personality
Roxy is a generally upbeat and optimistic person. She’s considerate, willing to cheer her friends up even when she herself isn’t feeling at her best, and though she’s stolen pumpkins from Jake’s island, it was to help feed the carapacians in the floating town she lived in. She deconstructs Calliope’s poor self-image with unending, unrestrained positivity to build a better one, and has helped her friends with their interpersonal problems and drama by becoming a non-player in the whole thing, an impartial party, a place to vent and be heard but not offering any kind of allegiance to one side or re-inserting herself into the equation later on.
Not until Trickster Mode, that is, but that was a clustertruck all around, for everyone involved, and it’s safe to say no one wants to remember that fiasco.
That doesn’t mean she hasn’t done things to the detriment of her friends, or that she plans everything out to a T. She isn’t Dirk. But those actions that she has taken, that aren’t planned and have a less than stellar result, are still only done under the pretense of helping out her friends.
And it isn’t always her fault that they go awry, a failed birthday party for Jane being one good example, but that it’s happened before due to her own actions, or inaction, is something she has since become more aware of. Both in regards to her friends, and also herself.
She may be the one who have kept them all from falling apart due to all of the drama going on, but Roxy herself was prone to the same drama and communication issues as they were. She had a crush on Jake and Dirk both, yet considered Jake off limits because of Jane’s feelings and even tho she knew Dirk was gay, she had still continued to flirt with him anyway.
Her move from being an alcoholic to being sober over the course of about half a year, was done nigh entirely on her own. Jane, Jake, and Dirk all had their own problems that they were dealing with, and didn’t see what was going on with her until everything started to hit the fan. How her alcoholism started though, is something to note. She’d done it both to be close to her mother, besides reading and having her the books she wrote, and also because of a loneliness that came from being only one of two humans left on Earth and the other in question is “an ocean away”.
She holds her friends close and values them highly, and that combined with her compassionate nature manifests into two traits. One trait being her internalizing her negative feelings like anger, rather than lash out at those around her. She’s far more likely to become sad, like she did when Jane didn’t believe her when Roxy told her stories about her life.
The other, is that she is both robin hood, and a mother hen. It’s not just her giving starving carapaces pumpkins to eat, but also her cats. Those hundreds of cats. She doesn’t care about Calliope’s appearance, she didn’t try to fight Grimbark Jade, and she is very affectionate to top it all off. She’s the person who would give you hugs just because. The kind of friend who would jump at the chance to help her friends even if it's not to her own benefit.
That said. If you hurt her loved ones, she will gladly go for your jugular.
Strengths
Is a skilled hacker, pirating a copy of Sburb Alpha which she shared with her friends, and she knows it too.
She has a sylladex composed of an Inventory deck of cards, the storing items by captchaloging them, and a Strife Deck, which holds all of her weapons of choice.
Said weapons of choice are given a “kind”, such as her riflekind and fistkind.
She’s interested in the esoteric sciences, like biology, though how much knowledge or skill she actually has in this… can be deduced by the hundreds of mutant cats that he had in the lab underneath her house. Hundreds. Of Cats.
As such, and even outside of this interest in biology, she’s incredibly smart.
Roxy can be rather a sneaky, which is something she shares with Rose.
Weaknesses
Though she has made considerable effort in beating her alcoholism and has a great strength of will for doing so on her own, she is still human and can still be tempted to drink. Does that mean she will? No, not necessarily, but the temptation to may show up.
Is a sleepwalker, as evident by her dream self being known to do so.
Is not above being passive aggressive.
She’s prone to rambling in a manner much like Dave is, especially so when she’s talking to him, which may prove to be annoying to some people.
Abilities
Void players can act without being seen or noticed by external sources. Roxy in specific is referred to having "dark patches" where the screen was blacked out while someone was trying to see her through a view port. As it would act with cameras there would be times when if she's under surveillance the screen may black out for a short time or appear fuzzy. Even with her recent ascend to god tier, this ability is still subconscious, based on her aspect.
Rogue of Void: Roxy is able to steal nothingness from the idea of an object, this allowing her to either conjure the actual object or create it from scratch. It's a new ability she just learned of and takes lots of practice to actually get it right. The most she might end up using it for is small, mundane objects or snacks once she has a chance to try practicing it more. Most of the time it just ends up as a Perfectly Generic Object which is a small green cube.
God Tier: Level gained from dying on her quest bed inside Derse's moon. This comes with two notable points. The lesser one being the ability to fly. The most important ability being conditional immortality. The only two ways a god tier can die is if their death is "just" or "heroic", otherwise they'll simply revive fully healed a couple minutes after death. So basically, if she does something to deserve being killed or dies a heroic death then she's screwed. But if the death is pointless, she'll be able to revive on the spot after a moment's delay.
Riflekind: Roxy prefers guns such as rifle-like laser guns and portal guns and is highly proficient with them, making her an excellent markswoman.
Fistkind: She also likes to stay as sharp as possible in unarmed combat just in case she ends up getting ambushed.
Hacking & Science: She's a highly proficient and presumably self taught hacker as well as considering herself a woman of esoteric sciences.
Strength: A little known fact about her is that she’s very, very strong. Whether this is a trait for being a void player, or just something that she herself is, is unknown.
Other Important Facts / Headcanons
Roxy knows some Alternian, for having grown up in the 25th century in a world that was taken over and flooded by the Condense, the Troll Empress of the dead Alternian Empire.
Passive classes, like the Rogue, have a harder time making their powers turn off, making them stop, while active classes, like their active counterpart the Thief, have a harder time making them work, or turn on. In a general sense, that is. When paired with an aspect though, like Roxy's Void, it may switch around, and it'd be harder to get her powers to work. At least in the way she wants. I.e. all those perfectly generic objects with a perfectly healthy matriorb at the end of that long, green cubed road.
